At the core of our broadcasting-related business, Dataworld maintains an independent database of radio, television, and wireless cable / MDS facilities, including all technical parameters as well as contact information. Our unique database provides an independent cross-check against data maintained by the FCC, which we also download daily.

FLAG Service

FLAG Service, a “first alert” service that delivers e-mail notification a notice when FCC Changes affect specific points of data that can be selected in any given market.

Custom Mapping

Dataworld offers customized mapping of coverage patterns for all commercial and non-commercial radio and television stations.

Maps are based on FCC predicted contours or Longley-Rice calculations, and can provide a wide variety of data layers such as boundaries, ethnic population densities and multiple demographic breakouts.

FM Explorer

A "what if" planning tool for creative FM allocation analysis. Clients can change the criteria of an allocation, such as transmitter location, ERP or HAAT changes, class code variances, etc., and see the impact in both the study and map.

Clients can add “layers” to the map to view the effect of:

  • Highways
  • Facility sites

  • Domestic and foreign conflicts

FM/TV/LPTV Technical Engineering Studies

Offered on a subscription basis, clients have unlimited use of a broad array of studies. These studies are performed using both the Dataworld proprietary and FCC databases, both updated daily. Clients have instant access to full FCC data without the expense of purchasing and maintaining expensive software. Dataworld maintains complex databases of broadcasting facilities, terrain, population, and demographics. Dataworld makes it easy for clients to run market-specific engineering reports such as:
